Julia F. Pia, age 51, of Kennett Square, died Sunday December 6, 2009 at her home.
Born in Wilmington Delaware, she was a daughter of the late Bruno J. Pia and Frances Baccino Pia who lives in Kennett Square.
For many years Julia worked as a head nurse for the Chester County Hospital where she excelled in her vocation. She also worked for the Devereux Foundation and Smith Kline.
She was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan.
She will be sadly missed by her family and her loving cats.
Survivors include in addition to her mother, one brother, Bruno Pia of Avondale and one sister Theresa "Terry" Pia of Kennett Square, three nieces and one great nephew.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Thursday December 10, 2009 at St. Patrick Catholic Church 212 Meredith St. Kennett Square, PA 19348.
Family and friends may visit with the family from 7:00 PM -9:00 PM Wednesday December 9th at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home Inc. (610-444-4116) 250 W. State St. Kennett Square.
Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.
